Step One: Collaborative Kitchen Design
The journey began in January 2024. Tom and Debra envisioned a sleek, modern kitchen with minimalist lines, ample storage, and premium functionality. Our design team met on-site to take precise measurements, discuss appliance layout, and select finishes tailored to their home’s natural light and open floor plan.
We designed this kitchen layout, using the existing kitchen as a guide. The client wanted seamless cabinet fronts, integrated appliances, and a functional peninsula with under-counter storage. The clean lines and slab-style doors created the modern look they dreamed of.
Step Two: CNC Precision & Maple Hardwood Cabinetry
Once design approvals were in place, fabrication began in February 2024. Using our in-house CNC machinery, we cut cabinet panels to exact tolerances for a flawless, frameless fit. CNC technology allowed us to optimize material yield while ensuring a perfectly square and consistent construction.
For doors and drawer fronts, we selected a custom shop sawn veneer in rift sawn, hard maple. This premium species offers a smooth base for custom finishes and resists dents and warping, ensuring longevity in a high-traffic kitchen environment. The horizontal orientation was a last minute change to add drama to the overall look.
Step Three: Custom Paint Pigmentation & Finish
Unlike factory spray finishes that often appear sterile, we developed a custom paint pigmentation blend for this kitchen. This muted alabaster white was mixed in-house and hand-applied in layers to create a rich, satin sheen that complements both the white upper cabinets and the warm grain of the lower panels.
Each door and drawer front was sealed and finished in our spray booth under controlled conditions to ensure consistency, sheen control, and lasting durability.
Step Four: On-Site Cabinet Installation in April 2024
Installation kicked off in early April, just as spring began to bloom across the Seacoast. Our skilled installers — the same craftsmen involved in the cabinet builds — arrived on-site to complete a precise fit and finish.
We coordinated with the electrician and plumber to ensure a smooth install timeline. Every cabinet was laser-leveled, and our final walkthrough ensured every drawer glide and door reveal was flawless.
